The Ficmax Ergonomic High-Back Large Size Gaming Chair looks pretty sweet and has an attractive price point. It has a few extra features beyond what you’d normally see in any game seat, especially once that rings up under $200. The integrated, vibrating back massager is a really neat idea, but also pretty unnecessary. The retractible footrest and wider seat are also great design ideas. The bigger drawback to this chair are the numerous flaws as noted below.

Despite looking pretty awesome, this Ficmax gaming chair doesn’t quite meet expectations. The build quality it lacking in many respects. It’s definitely not a chair designed to beat the test of time. Additionally, it’s just not very comfy. It squeezes the buttocks and back of heavier set players and doesn’t provided enough armrest or seat cushion even for the smaller, lighter folk.
To make things even worse, the chair isn’t the easiest to put together. The instructions are poorly written and difficult to understand. Once it’s fully assembled, it doesn’t feel as tight and sturdy as a quality gaming chair should be, either.
To the Point Review: At under $200, the Ficmax Ergonomic High-Back Gaming Chair with Lumbar Massage isn’t badly priced. Sadly, however, the chair isn’t made with quality materials and, for most, doesn’t stand the test of time. It’s also far from being the most comfortable seat you’ll plop your backside in. There are far better options available.

In our honest opinion you are far better off purchasing any of the 3 chairs mentioned above compared to blowing your money on the Ficmax gaming chair. They’re of much better quality, priced pretty similarly, provide a lot more comfortable for your gaming experience, and all of them have sick looks, too. Seriously, go check them out.

Customer Opinions
As we noted earlier in our review of the Ficmax gaming chair – comfort and durability are two areas this chair falls flat on its face. As you would expect, customers that have purchased the seat have made numerous complaints about these issues as well.
There are a LOT of negative reviews for this particular chair. Many cite the same issues we discovered in our own assessment of the chair, but some people have also provided complaints about other aspects of the seat that we may not have seen or experienced ourselves.
Most complain about the build quality. They claim that the gas spring goes out, the chair itself wears our quickly, etc. Most seem to have issues about 6 months to a year after purchasing the chair. A lot of people have stated the chair isn’t comfortable for their back at all, the chair loses its ability to stay up after a few months, and more.
While there are some positive consumer reviews for the Ficmax High-Back Gaming Chair, nearly half of the people that purchased it from Amazon have given it a 3-star or lower rating due to the issues mentioned above.
